Alexander Winery, located in Beit Yitzhak in the Sharon region, is one of Israel’s leading boutique wineries. It combines a 120-year-old winemaking tradition with innovation and creativity.
Founded in 1996 by Yoram Shalom, in memory of his father Alexander, the winery continues a family legacy that began in Italy and Tunisia, where Yoram’s grandfather and father produced homemade wine.

Over the years, the winery has won prestigious awards in Israel and abroad, becoming a symbol of uncompromising quality, winemaking artistry, and exceptional excellence.

The Winery

Our vineyards, located in ideal microclimates across the Upper Galilee, are cultivated by dedicated, experienced growers who treat their craft with reverence. The Visitors Center

Our winery’s main hospitality area offers a rich cultural and culinary experience in the heart of the vineyard landscape. Open to the public — couples, families, and both private and corporate groups — the winery offers high-quality chef meals in a rural setting, perfectly paired with our boutique wines. Whether it’s a romantic visit, private event, or business gathering, you can book in advance and enjoy a refined atmosphere that honors both the spirit of wine and the art of hospitality.

The Family

The Shalom family carries a deep-rooted love for wine, which began in Tunisia with grandfather Bruno and father Alexander (Sandro), who crafted homemade wines out of passion and heritage. This legacy lives on through Yoram, his wife Ilana, and their daughters — who all continue the family journey with devotion to the land, tradition, and shared craftsmanship.

Jewels on the Labels

Our unique bottle labels are inspired by our family’s rich heritage. Each label is adorned with authentic jewelry designs passed down through generations — crafted by Yoram’s mother Liza, a member of a family of jewelers. Every wine series features a different jewel — a diamond ring, fabric brooch, or pendant — symbolizing the connection between heritage, family, and creation.

Our vineyards are located in the Upper Galilee, one of the highest regions in Israel with a perfect microclimate for growing premium wine grapes.
We invest in advanced agro-technologies, strict irrigation management, and low-yield vine practices. Close monitoring of grape ripening and precise harvest timing ensures optimal quality.

We maintain long-term contracts with experienced and devoted growers in the Upper Galilee — experts who treat the vine as sacred.
Our flagship “Alexander the Great” series is made from grapes grown in vineyards over 40 years old.
